La production outre des casques de Simpson prend 3 jours, 50 processus séparés, 50 contrôles de contrôle de qualité..

La construction de casque est coordonnée dans trois processus séparés : (1) la coquille externe ; (2) le recouvrement de BeadAll ; (3) la couche intérieure, la remplissage, et le matériel.

Construction de coquille

La construction de coquille commence par la conception et l'essai de prototype. Ce sont tous les processus de main. Elle peut prendre des années pour développer un modèle qui est mis dans la production. Quand une conception est menée à bonne fin, le nickel fait sur commande moule chacun qui coûte $15.000 que un morceau sont établis. Recouvrement De BeadAll

Le recouvrement dans la couronne ou le dessus du casque est la deuxième ligne de la défense. Des matériaux de recouvrement de casque au cours des dernier 20 ans ont été fabriqués du polystyrène. Recouvrements intérieurs - Nomex ou nylon, cheekpads, chinstraps, et matériel

VUDO Virtual Unlimited Downforce Options

The VUDO is the lightest, high technology helmet ever manufactured by Simpson with no performance compromise. The VUDO incorporates the latest Aerodynamic Counter Measures or ACM in the shell exterior design including:

VENTILATOR HOOD Positioned on the crown of the helmet. The Ventilator Hood assists with interior helmet cooling while directing airflow to the Wing/Foil.
WING/FOIL The infinitely adjustable foil intercepts high speed ambient air flow to create downforce - eliminating lift and buffeting.
CHIME The molded downforce chime is an extension at the base of the chinbar that captures the air that contacts the front of the helmet (forehead down) as it flows downward toward the chin. This airflow creates pressure on the Chime and pushes the helmet down counteracting lift.
CHIN CURTAIN Positioned under the chinbar. The soft fabric curtain seals the area under the chin preventing airflow from lifting the helmet from within the base. At the same time preventing dust and debris from entering the helmet. .
