If you think strange things can't happen to motorcycle engines, here are a few. Never say never.

1) Things that can happen to a new starter motor. The axle just snapped in two and the gear fell into the side of the engine case.

2) Gearbox problems, the counter shaft just snapped in two and took out a bit of the engine case. You could still drive it, it made a small noise and second was sometimes a problem.

3) Clutch just flew to pieces, the outer clutch pressure plate broke and all the just came out

4) The lower bearing made a hole in the cranck case, and came for a visit
